Premium web apps, built in weeks.
Celium designs and builds polished apps, client platforms and internal tools for businesses without a product team. A working prototype in two to three weeks, live a few weeks later.
Products people actually enjoy using
For your clients and for your own team. Considered design, built properly, and made to be fast, secure and easy to run.
Client platforms and portals
Private, branded spaces for your clients: showcases, directories, enquiries and introductions. White-labelled for partners when you need it.
Customer apps
Mobile-first web apps people can save to their home screen, with no download. App Store and Google Play apps when they're worth it.
Internal tools
Dashboards, portals and workflows your own team uses every day. Replace the spreadsheets and copy-paste with something built around how you actually work.
AI, where it helps
Search that understands plain English, requests turned into clear briefs, assistants that know your content. Built in, not bolted on.
Three stages, each priced up front
You see a working product early, and you decide whether to carry on after the prototype. No long specifications, no surprises.
Prototype
2 to 3 weeksA working version in your brand, with your real content. Something you can put in front of customers or partners before committing to more.
Build
4 to 6 weeksThe production platform: security, data protection, admin tools for your team, testing across devices, and hosting.
Care
MonthlyHosting, monitoring, fixes and improvements for a fixed monthly fee, so the product keeps getting better.
Recent products
Designed and built end to end, and live with real users.
Pal: Your Health Coach
A nutrition and health coaching app with an AI coach you can message or talk to. The latest version was designed and built solo.
Flip
Photograph a beauty product and see its ingredients explained in seconds, with better options suggested. A web app with no download needed.
Studio quality, without the studio overhead
Product, commercial and technical
One person who shapes the product, keeps it commercially sensible and builds it, so nothing gets lost between a product manager, a designer and a developer.
Weeks, not months
I work with the latest AI development tools, which is how a polished product arrives this quickly.
Fixed prices
Each stage is priced before it starts. You always know what you're paying for.
Technical and AI advice for founders
Building your own product and want an experienced second opinion? I advise founders and small teams on product, architecture and where AI genuinely helps, by the day.
Ask about adviceI'm Chris Davison, a product engineer. I come from product, I think commercially, and I build everything myself: design and UX, front end, back end, and AI that runs in production at scale across web and mobile.
I started on the commercial side, at GSK and then delivering £100m+ programmes at Turner & Townsend, before founding Hawkr, an AI computer-vision advertising platform used by Johnson & Johnson, Shell and Sodexo. Since then I've worked in product and technology strategy for AI companies, including Mind Foundry, the Oxford University spin-out, shaping what gets built as well as how it's built.
I'm also a hands-on engineer. I founded Pal, an AI health coach on the App Store with more than 38,000 AI runs in production, and built Flip from first commit to paying customers in eight days. I've architected AI systems that run in production for businesses across the UK.
Most projects are split between a product manager, a designer, developers and someone watching the budget. Celium puts all of that in one person, so what gets built makes commercial sense, is engineered properly and reaches people quickly. The name comes from mycelium, the network under the forest floor that quietly connects everything above it. I'm based in Newcastle and work with clients across the UK.
